Our
Story

Dani’el House, established on January 21, 2021, is a nonprofit organization committed to
restoring dignity, stability, opportunity, and a hand up to men who are experiencing
homelessness, transitioning from incarceration, or recovering from addiction. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves a second chance, we provide comprehensive, trauma-informed support services that address the complex challenges these men face as they work to rebuild their lives.

Our mission is to create a safe, structured, and empowering environment where men can heal,
grow, and reintegrate into the community with purpose and pride. We offer supportive housing,
resources to life skills training, employment readiness programs, and access to mental health and
substance use support. Through partnerships with local agencies, employers, and service
providers, we help our participants overcome barriers and achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

Meet Daniel Jackson

Daniel Jackson chose addiction over the embrace of a loving family, a decision that brought heartbreak and loss. Yet even in the depths of his struggle, Daniel stood out. In the homeless community, he was known not for what he lost—but for what he gave. His generosity, compassion, and kindness were rare, especially in a world often marked by scarcity and survival. From his life and legacy,

Daniel House was born—to serve those who, like Daniel, fall through the cracks. It exists so that no man, no child, no mother’s son will go unnoticed again. Daniel’s story reminds us: even in brokenness, love can shine. And from that love, hope can rise. Let not another man's life have no meaning

Let us equip you with the tools needed for the workforce: job training, interviewing skills, building a resume, managing finances, setting personal goals and credit repair.

Supportive Community

We offer a supportive community that fosters love and provides a clean and safe housing experience.

Our Vision

To provide a safe, secure, housing community where participants become self-sufficient and thrive, resulting in productive community members, reducing recidivism and homelessness.

“A guiding light a helping hand towards new life”

At Dani'el House

We believe change is possible when men are supported with compassion, accountability, and a clear path forward. We stand beside them as they reclaim their lives—one step, one goal, and one success at a time.

Our Team.

Antony Jones

"I am inspired to volunteer at Dani’el House because I am interested in serving our communities. The formerly incarcerated is close to my heart because of my on journey.   It is with humility that I have this opportunity to support others.  I know all too well the difficulties in reentering society, without support it’s almost impossible.
I imagine Dani’el House will impact the community by letting our underserved homeless, formally incarcerated and other less fortunate brothers know someone cares about them.   They will have an opportunity and access to resources for shelter, job readiness and financial literacy."

Angela Thomas

"What inspires me to volunteer with the Daniel house is the vision of the house as well as the visionary that began this program. It inspires me to be a part of something that will encourage and equipped so many to live healthy productive lives in our changing society. I imagine the impact of the Daniel house to be a powerful one. The Daniel house will impact our community by building men of strong virtue and character. Our community is need of more male leaders and I believe the Daniel House will do just that. Building confidence, giving resources and providing support."

Diane Avery

"I am inspired to volunteer with Dani'el House for the opportunity to be a part of helping alleviate homelessness in the community where I grew up. Many things have changed over the years here in the Central Valley but the love I have for Modesto has not. The vision and the comprehensive approach to changing lives for the better that Dani'el House has to offer men in our community is exciting to be a part of. I imagine the life of each and every man that has the opportunity to participate in all the navigation tools available to them through Dani’el House will become a self-sufficient and thriving member of society, no matter where their new life may take them, and their family."
